ANI notice
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.<!--Template:Discussion notice--><!--Template:ANI-notice--> <span style="color:#000000">✗</span><span style="color:white;background:black;font-family:felix titling;font-size:80%">plicit</span> 04:02, 6 October 2022 (UTC)

:Have you paid any attention to the ANI discussion, or the many recent user warnings you have received over the past few days? If not, I strongly urge that you should, because you need to stop "experimenting" and fiddling with templates and redirects when you are beyond your depth, and definitely not without prior discussion first. --IJBall <small>(contribs • talk)</small> 14:37, 7 October 2022 (UTC)
::Seeing that you have not engaged with any of your talk page messages or the ongoing ANI thread while continuing the same behavior, I have blocked your account. :::I made a mistake by handing things myself when I should have negotiated plans with the users. It all began when I decided to help out Nicktoons because I thought it felt too underdone. After I rebuilt the template, I decided to help the other sub-networks (e. g. Boomerang and Disney XD). I wanted to simplify the templates to just "Boomerang" and "Disney XD" and remove their redirects. However, I didn't realize how many redirects there were (I tried to move the pages too). After many "conflicts," I zoned out by thinking of things. So I didn't respond in the number of days I was off the site. MegaSmike46 (talk) 22:08, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

As the template says in boldface, you shouldn't remove declined unblock requests. I restored it, and also fixed your substituted unblock request. You shouldn't subst these templates. Actually, it looks like you're habitually removing every decline. If you do it again, I'll remove your ability to edit this page. == I want to help ==
{{unblock reviewed |1=Dear administers, Once again, I apologize for my unintentional disruptions on the website. At the time, I had merely started editing sites a year after making an account. The ongoing events that I'd help out and make Wikipedia a more reliable open source. However, I was not used to working in online community groups, but I wanted to help them. There are articles with few editors, such as TV network programming lists. I'm the one who contributed to those articles (e.g. Disney XD, Boomerang, Nicktoons, Cartoonito, etc.). It's been a while since the incident, and I've made embarrassing mistakes and even violated some terms by using other accounts for fun. I felt no one else would have edited those articles had I not stepped in (e.g. the Disney Junior (block) programming list). I understand watchers have often found my edits disruptive before and the trust may be lost. After seeing more participants, I've learned the need to be a team player regardless. Many users have more experience with this website than me and understand Wikipedia is not a blog. I do not enjoy joining controversies, but I promise to contribute to the community's responsibility/cite concerns. Please give me another chance. MegaSmike46 (talk) 01:27, 27 September 2023 (UTC) |decline = In general I am a great believer in giving blocked editors another chance, but unfortunately this time I don't see any possibility of doing so. I couldn't unblock you myself even if I wanted to, because this is a CheckUser block, and I am not a CheckUser. I could contact a CheckUser and suggest an unblock, or just leave the request open on the chance that a CheckUser will come along and lift the block, but I really think either of those would have about as much chance of success as looking out of my window and waiting for a pig to fly past, for several reasons. Firstly, your unblock request doesn't really seem to indicate sufficient understanding of why you were blocked to stand much chance of being accepted; secondly, no CheckUser has seen fit to lift the block yet, although it's been open for a while; thirdly one checkuser (Yamla) has already indicated that he doesn't think you should be unblocked, and the CheckUser who placed the block has not responded in several days since being alerted to this request; fourthly Yamla has stated that you have evaded your block within the last six months. Your best chance is to wait until at least six months since the last time you evaded the block, and then post an unblock request which both shows a clear understanding of the original reasons for the block and also addresses the issue of block-evasion. In order for such an unblock request to have any reasonable chance of success I strongly recommend re-reading the guide to appealing blocks. Information icon Hello, I'm Aoi. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Hanna-Barbera, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Aoi (青い) (talk) 01:06, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Hanna-Barbera, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Aoi (青い) (talk) 18:21, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

Just popping by to mention that I have nominated an article you have created, List of programs broadcast by Cartoonito, for deletion. If you think the article should be kept, please provide your opinion on the deletion discussion. Thank you. Foxnpichu (talk) 15:13, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Happos Family

Hello, I have moved your recent creation to the draftspace. It is not yet a fully-formed Wikipedia entry and therefore not suitable for mainspace just yet. Please continue to develop at Draft:The Happos Family and submit when considered suitable. Thank you for helping to expand the encyclopedia. Happy editing. ⚠

Thanks for uploading File:The Happos Family.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 00:15, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Cartoonito. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 09:34, 15 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, thanks I understand now. How’s the draft so far? MegaSmike46 (talk) 17:29, 15 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Cartoonito, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Small world. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:15, 15 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, just a reminder

The history section you added to Cartoonito is completely unsourced. When adding content, you are technically responsible for providing reliable sources to back it up and that articles should not contain original research. Foxnpichu (talk) 12:26, 16 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Braceface, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Freeform.

Your article On the Team

Hello, MegaSmike46! It appears one or more of the pages you created, such as On the Team, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

If you have any questions ask me on my talk page or you can just type help me on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.  —FORMALDUDE(talk) 04:16, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It’s a work in progress, I was just filling in the basic information. There’s more to uncover about this obscure show from Noggin. MegaSmike46 (talk) 05:25, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft of your article in draftspace or in your userspace first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, with less risk of deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. If you'd like, I can help you move the page to draftspace so that you can further edit it without risk of deletion. —FORMALDUDE(talk) 06:50, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ned's Newt

Can you please undo what FilmandTVFan28 did to the Ned's Newt Page SuperBonnyYahya (talk) 04:48, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That would be unnecessary since the article clearly mentioned a German production company co-producing it with Nelvana. This problem was already cleared on the article talk page. — FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 16:09, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas & Friends

I've reverted your edit to the article Thomas & Friends. The article doesn't mention Cartoonito at all, so there is no basis for adding Category:Cartoonito original programming. Please add a properly sourced section to the article about Cartoonito, before adding the category. Thanks, Laplorfill (talk) 21:49, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think you have misunderstood the purpose of that category. It is for " television programs that have regularly aired their first-run episodes on Cartoonito. It does not list programs which first appeared on a different network" (emphasis added). Since programs like Molang and Thomas & Friends first appeared on other networks, they should not be added to that category. Thanks, Laplorfill (talk) 21:52, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi MegaSmike46, I just moved the page List of assets owned Warner Bros. Discovery to draft space. As I noted on the talk page previously, the company Warner Bros. Discovery doesn't exist yet and won't exist until the middle of next year. While I think you did a good job of putting together all the assets that will be owned by the company, a lot could happen between now and next year so it's probably not best to speculate in article space what's going to happen with the merger and make assumptions as to what the company will look like after the merger closes (if it does close). If you disagree with this action, you are free to object per WP:DRAFTIFY. Thank you, Aoi (青い) (talk) 03:39, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Continued disruption will be met with being blocked from editing, or other sanctions. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. Trivialist (talk) 01:28, 11 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Attribution for split pages

Smile emoji Hi MegaSmike46! Thank you for your contributions. It looks like you've copied or moved text from Alvin and the Chipmunks into another page, and while you are welcome to re-use the content, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from page name; see that page's history for attribution. If you've copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thanks! DanCherek (talk) 03:12, 26 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of List of Alvin and the Chipmunks characters

Hello MegaSmike46,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged List of Alvin and the Chipmunks characters for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

An article you recently created, List of Alvin and the Chipmunks characters, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. A tag has been placed on Paramount Network (Australian TV channel) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. WBD Question

Out of curiosity, how come WBD's content distribution/ad sales units are part of the Global Streaming & Interactive division? I've read articles about the recent reshuffle carried out by JB Perrette, and I don't see much relating to the home entertainment distribution/TV distribution units... BiggieSMLZ (talk) 16:27, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I felt it might join that division as I thought it'd make more sense. After all Content Distribution (Home Media) could correlate with the streaming division as well. I mean WB Interactive was part of WBHE for a time.
I may revert it, but until further confirmation, I guess WBD's Content Distribution will just remain under Warner Bros. Entertainment. MegaSmike46 (talk) 16:56, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, so your saying that there needs more to be more reliable sources. MegaSmike46 (talk) 19:10, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's two-fold. Content needs to sourced to reliable sources and much of it is still not. For notability, it needs in-depth coverage and that is why I am recommending reviews from reputable critics (two or three reviews with a couple paragraphs or so critiquing the show). As I have stated above, I also recommend trimming it down (removing all the character and episode details along with the Media section as most of it is unsourced or sourced to unreliable sources such as YouTube anyway). Hello MegaSmike46. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:MegaSmike46. The template Paid can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: . If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 0xDeadbeef 04:53, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Lists of Disney characters

I have removed this category from the pages for individual characters that you have placed it on as they are in the parent category for the lists category as they are... not lists. Wanted to let you know my reasoning since it seems you reintroduced the category. Thanks! - Purplewowies (talk) 01:05, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you seek to have a category speedy renamed without going through the full discussion, you need to add an entry at the speedy area of the categories for discussion page for it so that it can be properly opposed, otherwise you haven't actually completely gone through the request process. It's not like a speedy deletion where you just put the template on the page and call it a day. - Purplewowies (talk) 01:34, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I wasn't sure where to place them at first, so I'm glad you helped out. There's no need for further discussions; I'm just trying to sort things out with Disney Channel. MegaSmike46 (talk) 18:27, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It seems you're still having an issue--the problem with what you're doing isn't the template you're using, it's that you're not creating the accompanying entry on the categories for discussion board (either in the speedy area for the speedy template or as a full discussion on the CFD board for the regular CFD template). The templates provide a link to where you need to add the entry and the exact format of the entry you should be adding (that is, some info about what move you're looking to do alongside a place for you to explain your reasoning. You still haven't done that part. - Purplewowies (talk) 19:01, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It would be concerning enough that you're attempting to make changes without any apparent discussion, much less consensus, but that you've also made malformed edits (including speedy rename requests) more than once indicates that you should be working to gain a better understanding of how categorization works and collaborating with your fellow editors, not trying to make changes simply because you personally feel they're appropriate. If you continue to make inappropriate category-related edits I will have no choice but to report you in an effort to prevent you from making further disruptive edits. Thank you for your understanding. DonIago (talk) 20:48, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited DC Entertainment, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Burbank.

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Category:Lists of Disney television series episodes, you may be blocked from editing. It is highly disruptive to delete notices of active CfD discussions. DonIago (talk) 17:34, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Moving templates

Please be careful when moving templates and adding speedy deletes to redirects. You added a speedy to Template:Live-action theatrical films based on DC Comics but that caused multiple articles that linked to that pages, such as American Splendor (film), to appear in Category:Candidates for speedy deletion. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 18:00, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry. I made simple typo and just wanted it deleted to avoid confusion of redirects. MegaSmike46 (talk) 18:06, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. It was a bit confusing. Once all the articles are using the new template the redirects can be deleted. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 18:12, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nickelodeon allegations section

Hi,

Thanks for your many edits on the Nickelodeon article. I see that you removed the section called "Allegations of Child Actor Abuse", and added it to the article Criticism of Paramount Global. I've added the section back to the Nickelodeon article as it is relevant to Nickelodeon company specifically and well-sourced. If you believe there is also a place for it on the Criticism of Paramount Global article too that is fine.

I'm not looking to get into an edit war, so I'd love if you could share your thoughts on this section on Nickelodeon's talk page. Let's work together to keep the Nickelodeon article in good shape and maintain NPOV. Anybar (talk) 22:08, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, List of animation studios owned by Comcast NBCUniversal, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 09:27, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to FX on Hulu, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Please refrain from redirecting/merging articles with enough standalone and well-sourced content without a consensus.Starforce13 22:27, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I was only trying to make things simpler by joining some of the FX on Hulu to FX. I figured, especially since FX on Hulu is really a hub now.
However, I may have gotten a little too carried away. So ultimately, I added the Hulu-exclusive programs to the FX list and decided to let both main articles be. MegaSmike46 (talk) 23:00, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I believe it will eventually need to be merged but that will be into the FX Networks article since that's what covers the entire FX brand. With Hulu most likely getting merged into Disney+ by 2024, we'll have a stronger case for the merge then.— Starforce13 23:59, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, just thinking a little ahead before. Also, although it's a bit off, I think Hulu (& ESPN+) will end up on Disney+ like an ad-tier, so "Hulu originals" will remain intact, but you'll have to access Disney+ with Hulu no longer being standalone. It's just my prediction. MegaSmike46 (talk) 00:34, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

DCAU New Article Feedback

Hello MegaSmike46, the copy editor User:AngusWOOF is reviewing a draft of a new DCAU article I am trying to have published. He has directed me to seek the feedback of people like you who have edited the DCAU page in the past to provide feedback as to whether or not you believe the content I included is something Wikipedia readers interested in the DCAU would find value in. Mainly the copy editing team would like feedback on the table depicting chronological narrative viewing order. I would appreciate it if you can review my inquiry and the draft article and inform if you think the content is of value to those who may be reading about or wanting to watch the DCAU. This will help get the copy editing team the feedback they need to proceed with either an approve or decline decision. Thanks for your feedback.

Hello, MegaSmike46,

Please do not put a CSD tag on a transcluded template because now it appears as if dozens of artices on which the template appears are supposed to be deleted. Please remove all transclusions before tagging a template for speedy deletion. Liz Read! Talk! 03:31, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mean like ? I think that's what you mean, so could you explain a little more? MegaSmike46 (talk) 07:14, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Why are you changing the redirects on these templates anyway? EvergreenFir (talk) 18:59, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm changing these redirects because I feel it's becoming too confusing. I think Disney XD should simply have one template titled "Disney XD." I did a similar thing with Template:Boomerang, where I merged them by moving the info from "Template:Boomerang original programming" into that template.
Template:Boomerang's original info was moved to Template:Cartoon Network under Boomerang. I also did a Template:Nicktoons. MegaSmike46 (talk) 19:25, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, but why "Disney XD P"??? That makes no sense. EvergreenFir (talk) 20:03, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've cleaned up most of your mess.
If you want to propose moving those templates to Disney XD, use WT:TV or the template's talk page EvergreenFir (talk) 20:29, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I was just experimenting with the redirects to see what happens. I thought I could delete some pages by doing that, but I didn't thoroughly read the deletion policies. MegaSmike46 (talk) 20:32, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
