Description
English: Detail of an écorché (with mummification) of a horse and its rider, made between 1766 and 1771 by the French anatomist Honoré Fragonard (1732–1799). It is in the collection of the Museum Fragonard of the École nationale vétérinaire d'Alfort (National Veterinary School of Alfort), in Maisons-Alfort, Val-de-Marne, Île-de-France, France. The techniques used to produce the sculpture are still partially unknown.
Français : Ecorché (momifié) d'un cheval et de son cavalier, (détail), réalisé entre 1766 et 1771 par l'anatomiste français Honoré Fragonard (1732–1799). Musée Fragonard de l'Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire d'Alfort, Maisons-Alfort, Val-de-Marne, France. La technique utilisée est encore partiellement inconnue.
