English: This is a portion of an address made by William Goodwin on the occasion of the signing of Treaty No. 9 at Fort Albany on August 3, 1905. The address was written out in Cree syllabics, and this section was reproduced in Duncan Campbell Scott's November 1906 article “The Last of the Indian Treaties” in Scribner’s Magazine (November 1906).
