Marx's worm snake (Ramphotyphlops marxi) is a species of snake in the family Typhlopidae. The species is endemic to the Philippines.[1][2]

Etymology

[edit]

The specific name, marxi, is in honor of American herpetologist Hymen Marx.[2][3]

Geographic range and habitat

[edit]

R. marxi is known only from the holotype, collected from Samar island in the central Philippines in 1957.[1][2] It presumably originated from a forested habitat.[1]
