The American Conservative is a political opinion magazine, and like all such publications, is not a WP:RS for much of anything other than its own views. Examples of this editor at work include this edit, this edit, this edit, this edit, this edit,this edit, these edits on Jimmy Duncan (U.S. politician), these edits on George McGovern, these edits on National Endowment for the Arts, these edits on William Appleman Williams, and on and on. Many of these edits include direct, unattributed quotations of The American Conservative writers, to further promote them; I suspect 128.253.211.77 may be an intern for the magazine or related to one of the magazine's writers. 128.253.211.77 has been warned a number of times on his or her talk page by several editors but keeps on going.     On March 8, 2011 account Nazrich added links to the external links section of approximately 20 articles relating to LG mobile phones or fertility. The user name shows no other editing activity. The fertility links lead to what appears to be a commercial site selling a book on fertility. The LG blog does not necessarily have any information about the articles to which it was added and may be an SEO attempt. Neither link can be reasonably described as authoritative on the subject and would not likely qualify as a reference source for use in WP. The editor has replaced the link after at least one reversion attempt at LG GT540. --Ch Th Jo (talk) 04:58, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

    scotlawman, netlawman, and variants

    Also see Wikipedia:WikiProject Spam/LinkReports/scotlawman.co.uk. I have warned a few of the above spammers but the same links get posted again by a different IP the next day.     recent barrage of spamming

    There has been a recent barrage of spamming by ThowardLP (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · blacklist hits · AbuseLog · what links to user page · count · COIBot · Spamcheck · user page logs · x-wiki · status · Edit filter search · Google · StopForumSpam), which I've reverted. The LP in his username stands for Lancaster Pollard, a company whose website articles he adds to the external links section of portfolio-related articles.     Over the last few days, several accounts are trying to spam this link into pet-related articles. Accounts appear to be throw-away as each occurrence of spam seems to be one-off.
