Inherited from Aramaic תַּרְוָדָא (tarwāḏā); Compare Compare Hebrew תַּרְוָד (tarvád, ladle). In most dialects this has been replaced with ܡܲܛܥܸܡܬܵܐ (maṭˁimtā) or a variant.
