Access to this information is intended only for individuals or authorized agents who are requesting a premium refund or distributive share payment of a previously owned FHA property and received HUD form 27050-B directly from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development within the past 180 days; and agents with express written consent acting directly on behalf of the qualified property owner.

The data and documents on this system include federal records that may contain sensitive information protected by various federal statutes, including the Privacy Act 5 U.S.C. § 552(a). The Privacy Act allows for criminal penalties in limited circumstances. Officials handling personal information are bound by the Privacy Act not to disclose or grant access to agency records or access to any of its material in any manner to any person or agency not entitled to receive it.

Purpose: The mission of HUD's Office of Financial Services - Single Family Insurance Operations Division (SFIOD) is to pay eligible homeowner refunds or distributive share payments. HUD will make every effort to ensure payment owed to homeowners is done in a cost-effective and timely manner.

Routine Uses: The information collected by the HUD-27050-B will be used by SFIOD to evaluate and correctly process refunds or distributive share payments. The information will not be disclosed outside HUD without your consent except to verify its accuracy with FHA lenders; to appropriate agencies, entities, and persons when HUD needs to mitigate a breach or incident involving PII; to authorized requesters or third party tracers to locate homeowner refund information; to authorized federal agencies for disbursement of funds or authorized inquiries; and to Federal, State, or local law enforcement agencies for investigation purposes.

Disclosure: All the information requested on the HUD-27050-B is voluntary. Failure to provide information may delay the processing, or result in the rejection, of the individual's application for a refund or distributive share.
