GREEN BLUE NOTES

When we created the pattwork ›green blue notes‹, we had in mind the covers of vinyl records of legendary jazz labels from the early 1960s. We chose these colors as we thought about the west coast and the valleys surrounding mega cities. We also thought about the Mid-Century modern architecture and contemporary houses of that particular time. With the 12 different elements, a large variety of individual patterns can be created.

Jazz album covers by record labels such as Blue Note and Verve were pretty cool and well designed when they were originally released. However designer Jeff Rochester from America has recently picked some classic album covers like Blue Train by John Coltrane, Time Out by Dave Brubeck and Kind of Blue by Miles Davis and given them a reworking – Nice
