Jonas Piontek - Storm Chaser on Instagram: "Dramatic swirling clouds fill the sky as this storm has become dominated by outflow, shooting off this boundary far ahead of its core full of heavy rain and hail. This formation, called Whales Mouth, shows beautifully how air acts like water as (especially in timelapses) it looks a lot like the underside of a barreling wave, demonstrating how warm air is chaotically lifted by the cold winds pushing it upwards and keeping the storm going. There was quite a lot of the typical Texas Dust flying around in front of the breeze of this storm, aided by some tractors that were plowing the fields before the rain set in, making the whole scene even more dramatic to experience. #whalesmouth #storm #outflow #boundary #panorama #gewitter"
