In doing so, they will use online and print resources and have the opportunity to explore local lore. Need a fun way to introduce and review chronology? My Early American History Timeline Puzzle is a great resource for you! This timeline puzzle includes 12 events in puzzle piece shapes. Each event has a title, picture, and simplified description. The puzzle pieces in the set are already in chronological order, you just need to print, cut, and mix them up! Then, have students arrange the pieces horizontally in chronological order. This can be a great beginning-of-the-year activity, a review game, or an early-finisher activity! I love to use these puzzle pieces at the beginning of the year to introduce students to the upcoming content while also assessing their background knowledge! It is a great ice-breaker too! Students enjoy the challenge and bond with their classmates.
