      В программе используется векторная графика, которая обеспечивает резкость полиграфических отпечатков и создание растровых изображений с любым разрешением без привязки к фиксированному количеству пикселов, как в растровой графике. Inkscape использует в качестве собственного формата стандартизированный формат файлов SVG, поддержка которого реализована во многих других программах, в частности в браузерах.
      Inkscape поддерживает многие дополнительные возможности SVG (маркеры, клоны, сведение альфа-канала). Немало внимания уделяется удобству интерфейса. В программе очень просто изменять кривые, превращать растровые рисунки в векторные и решать иные задачи. Genius is a general purpose calculator program similar in some aspects to BC, Matlab, Maple or Mathematica. It is useful both as a simple calculator and as a research or educational tool. The syntax is very intuitive and is designed to mimic how mathematics is usually written. GEL is the name of its extension language, it stands for Genius Extension Language, clever isn't it?
