Before taking in an animal: Research all their needs: size of enclosure, suitable food, companionship needs, toys, exercise requirements, etc. Adopt, don't shop - you won't be supporting pet mills: filthy places where animals are bred and kept in tiny cages Ask for help if in doubt :)
