Today I am sharing four steps that will help you use this writing workshop model to teach your 1st and 2nd-grade students how to write a paragraph. I like to explicitly teach what a paragraph is using writing anchor charts and then identify the different parts of a paragraph. You can break these up into multiple writing lessons and writing mini lessons.
