1. Rescue the toys from the Jell-O This one is super easy and in-expensive! The only downfall I’d say is the Jell-O can make quite the mess, so I recommend going outside or putting a towel down. I also do not recommend too cute of clothes. All I did was grab a mixing bowl, make

Marissa Penny, M.S., OTR/L on Instagram: "Playing with a 6-12 month old can be so simple! They are in a sensory exploratory phase, discovering the world through how things look, feel, sound, taste. They like banging things together, dumping things out, throwing things, and putting things in their mouth. All of this is developmentally appropriate as they are learning through play! You can use what you have at home to support their development. Let me know if you try these!

🎨 🎨 🎨 🎨 🎨 🎨 🎨 🎨

Look how simple this mess free painting activity is for your baby

All you need is a zip lock bag, paper, paints and masking tape.

This experience gives the illusion of messy sensory play. Without the mess. It’s great for tactile and visual play. Helping to develop the children’s fine motor skills, problem solving skills and cause and effect.

Watch to the end to see Mr9month rip up the tape haha! If your baby or toddler does this, leave them, it’s great for developing their fine motor skills.

🎨 WHAT TO DO:
All you need to do is squirt paint onto a sheet of paper and place the paper into a plastic zip-lock bag, close them tight and place them on a surface, either a high chair, window floor or wall. Celena Kinsey on Instagram: "This activity is one of my favorites because it’s so simple and it’s one you can do with all kids from your preschooler to your 6 month old. All you’ll need to do is beat the liquid from a can of chickpeas until you get a foamy consistency. You can add natural food coloring if you want or leave it plain. Then add some toys and have your little ones explore the foam! #momhacks #toddleractivities #sensoryplayideas #babysensoryplay #prekactivities #toddleractivitiesathome #toddleractivity #outdooractivitiesforkids #everydayplay #sensoryplay #sensoryactivity #momhacks #toddlermom #babysensory #learnathome #learningthroughplay #sensorybins #toddlertoys #waldorfinspired #toddlersensory #montessoriathome #actividadesparaniños #activitiesforkids" Sensory Activities For 8 Month Old, Activities For Infants 6-12 Months, Activities For 8 Month Old, 6 Month Old Activities, 6 Months Old Activities, Baby 6 Months, Baby Sensory Play, Natural Food Coloring, Toddler Sensory

Anthea | EST. 2022 on Instagram: "•MUFFIN TIN WATER PLAY FOR BABIES• 🧁 🧁 🧁 🧁 🧁 Babies love containment play —  taking objects out of containers and putting them back in (but mostly taking them out) They typically start taking objects out of containers from any age after 7 months to 11 months old. Closer to 11 months, some babies start to put the objects back in one at a time.  TIP: Introduce this container experience now, and plan to repeat it well into toddlerhood. ⁣You can incorporate numeracy by counting the objects out loud one by one, or use multi-coloured objects to identify colours. This muffin tin experience is a simple and fun learning activity that also strengthens important hand muscles, improves fine motor skills, and practices hand-eye coordination.
