Tips for heart braids!

This braid is super cute! It can be tricky but here’s a couple things that have made mine neater and easier to do! 1. Doing a Dutch braid- I think they look much neater and polished. 2. Try it on a horse that has longer hair at the top of their tail. Once you get practice you can try on short hair. 3. Since you’re doing a Dutch braid you can add in hair thats directly under the braid. This helps anchor the braids to the tail and control the shape. 4. If you have any weird lumps or gaps you can always cover it with a well placed bow or flower. 5. I like to count how many strands I add into the first side of the heart, so I can do the same amount on the second side. This really helped me to get them more symmetrical.
