55K views · 2.1K reactions | How to Crochet a Heart in just 2 MINUTES! ❤ | Need a super fast crochet heart pattern? Then look no further! This very simple and small crochet heart applique can be used for all sorts! | By Hooked by Robin | Everybody and welcome to my channel. Today I'm going to be showing you how to crochet these super easy, super fast, tiny crochet hearts. So you can use any yarn and any hook size to make these hearts. Please note the thicker the yarn and the bigger the hook size the larger your heart will be. So with your yarn we're going to form a magic ring. Now if you don't know how to do a magic ring I do have a tutorial with a slow mo version on my channel which I have linked to in the description box below. So from your magic ring we're going to go ahead and chain two. Then working into the magic ring we're going to place three treble stitches. These are American term trebles so we yarn over twice before you go into the ring. Then you're going to pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through two, yarn over, pull through two. Yarn over, pull through two. That's your first treble done. We need two more of those. Then we're going to place three double crochet stitches into the ring. So a double crochet is just yarn over once. Chain one and place a treble back into the ring. Chain one. Now we're going to work the other side of the heart. So three double crochet stitches back into that ring. If you're running out of room you can scooch your stitches around. Then place three trebles which is yarn over twice back into that ring. So that's one. To and three. Chain two. And now we're going to slip stitch into the ring. Now make sure you are keeping this tail. You might want to close it slightly. Slip stitch. Chain one. Then you can cut your yarn leaving a decent length to weave in afterwards. Pull your hook up and through. Then close your magic ring nice and tight. Then this tail you just snipped off. Pull that nice and tight. And your crochet heart is complete. Now you can go ahead and weave in both those ends. Thanks for watching. Bye.
How to Crochet the Griddle Stitch | Have you tried the Griddle Stitch before? 🧶😍 | By Hooked by Robin | Today I'm going to be showing you how to crochet the griddle stitch. Now the Griddle Stitch is incredibly easy. It's a very simple one row repeat and creates a fabric which has a really delicate texture to it. Now this makes it great for clothing or dishcloths or quite frankly any crochet project! To begin pop a slip knot onto your hook. Now the pattern multiple for the griddle stitch couldn't be easier. It is simply 2 + 1. Now all that means is you're going to chain in multiples of two, two, two, two until the project is the width you want it to be then add one extra chain at the very end. Now I'm only going to be making a small sample today so I'm going to go ahead and chain fifteen. Once you have the desired amount of chains, we're going to begin with a foundation row of just single crochet stitches which I find gives a nice firm base to the griddle stitch. Now we're going to be working into the second chain from your hook. Remember the loop on your hook does not count as anything. You only want to count these fully formed chains hanging down below. So one, two. For this, I'm also going to work into the back bump of the chain. Now this is entirely optional; I just find it gives a slightly neater finish particularly if you're making dishcloths. So into that second chain we're going to work a single crochet stitch. And then single crochet into every chain all the way along. So we're just creating the first row of single crochet stitches only. For row two, chain one and turn your work. Now we're going to begin the griddle stitch. Now into that very first stitch where you just chained from, (this chain does not count as anything) we're going to work a single crochet stitch. So right into that very first stitch, single crochet. Then double crochet into the next stitch. Single crochet into the next. Then double crochet into the stitch after. We're going to continue this all the way along, alternating between single crochets and double crochets. So single crochet Then double crochet. Single crochet. Double crochet. Keep going until you reach the end of the row. Now you'll always end the row on a double crochet. That is a great way to know that you're on track. You'll start with a single crochet and in that very last stitch will always be a double crochet. If you're ending on a single crochet something has gone awry! So we're always going to end on a double crochet. Now row three onwards is simply a repeat of row two. So we're going to chain one. Turn our work - that chain one does not count as anything - and start in that very first stitch we chain from with a single crochet. So we'll always start with a single crochet. Then double crochet. Right into that next stitch. Single crochet into the next. And double crochet into the one after that. Now if you look closely we're always going to be working a single crochet over the top of the double crochet from the row below. This is what gives this really gentle texture. The single crochets either side of these taller double crochets pull it down and give it an ever so slight squidge. So single crochet right on top of the double crochet from the row below. And then double crochet onto the single crochet. You can see it's that little shorter stitch right there. Work your double crochet. We're just alternating between a single crochet and a double crochet. All the way down the row. Remember you will always end with a double crochet to that very last stitch. So keep going repeating that last row over and over again until your project is the length that you want it to be. Always starting with a single crochet and ending on a double crochet. Once your project is the length that you want it to be you can of course finish on one of these griddle stitch rows, so that's ending on the double crochet, and if you wanted to finish at this point you would simply chain one cut your yarn and pull it through. However I personally for the very last row of the griddle stitch like to even it up so it matches that bottom row of single crochet stitches. So for the final optional straightening off row. We're going to chain one and turn our work. Again that chain one does not count as a stitch. We're going to simply single crochet in every stitch all the way along. Once you reach the other side and you have done your final single crochet stitch, as I say it's optional, it's just quite a nice way of finishing so it matches the start of your work. We're going to go ahead and chain one and then cut your yarn, leaving a nice long tail to weave in. Pull that through, pull it tight and you're done! So I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. I hope you go on to crochet many projects with the griddle stitch as it's such a versatile one and it's a great one to have in your stitch library. So until next time. Happy crocheting. Bye!

188K views · 4.5K reactions | Linked Single Crochet Stitches | Linked single crochet stitches create a 3D look for a hat, scarf, shawl, sweater, handbag and more! | By Naztazia | Hi, I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. com. I'll show how to make linked single crochet stitches in this tutorial video. The stitch pattern looks nice for a blanket, scarf, shawl, sweater, handbag, and more. It's also pretty much the same on both sides. To do this, I'm starting with any number for the chain. I'm skipping the first chain and making a regular single crochet stitch in the next chain. With the single crochet stitch I just made, there's a little side loop. I'm going to first insert my crochet hook into that side loop before I insert my crochet hook into the next chain. Then I make a yarn over and then I make yet another yarn over and pull through all the loops on the hook to complete my linked single crochet stitch going forward I'll be repeating that same stitch pattern. Insert the hook first into the side loop of the single crochet stitch I just made then insert the hook into the next chain stitch then I make a yarn over and then I make another yarn over and pull through all of the loops on my hook to complete my Linked Single Crochet Stitch going forward I'm repeating what I just did with inserting my hook into the side of the previous linked single crochet stitch then into the chain stitch and then complete the stitch just as I did before and that's pretty much the premise of how to make a linked single crochet stitch moving forward for the next row is pretty much the same except for a small change of where the hook goes with this stitch pattern it forms a chain like look along the front edge. However, the second row will be made using the back loops of the previous row stitch. So, the first stitches just a regular single crochet stitch and then subsequent stitches are made the same way as the first row except after inserting the hook along the previous stitches side, it's important to insert the hook into the back loop of the next stitch. Then, all remaining stitches on this row will be made just like the second stitch of this row where the hook is inserted into the side of the previous stitch and then into the back loop of the next stitch and then finish the stitch just as the previous linked single crochet stitches have been completed. Once row two has been completed, chain one, turn the work and then begin row three with just a regular single crochet stitch in the first stitch using the back loop as before and then proceed with doing the linked single crochet stitches in the second stitch and all other stitches on this row using the back loops again and that's how I crochet a linked single crochet stitch pattern.
