Operating system support currently strongly focuses on Linux.

On Mac, only the CPU backend is expected to work. For the generic JIT compilation flow, we recommend [linking AdaptiveCpp into LLVM using a 2-stage build](#building-an-llvm-toolchain-with-adaptivecpp-linked-in-experimental-but-also-for-windows).

Windows support with CPU and CUDA backends is expected to work when [linking AdaptiveCpp into LLVM](#building-an-llvm-toolchain-with-adaptivecpp-linked-in-experimental-but-also-for-windows).
