Highly sophisticated fake NFT trading site that steals NFTs, and it deceives the victim into thinking it's a legitimate NFT trading website.
• How it works:
On Discord, a user was contacted about trading his Habbo avatar NFT for another similar NFT plus some additional ETH.
After a discussion about price, they both agreed to trade the NFT, but the supposed "buyer" insisted on making the trade over a trusted platform like OpenSea Deals (https://deals.opensea.io/deal/create), claimed that OpenSea wasn't available in his country and need to use a different platform.
After the seller (victim) signs a message that the site requests, his NFT gets transferred to a different wallet and the trade is never completed.
The buyer (scammer) then stops replying over discord and blocks the victim. The seller never gets the agreed payment.
Additional information:
– The scam site seems to have stolen its logo from Orchid.com (Orchid protocol), its social buttons also link to the official site.
– The scam site seems to be a clone of the previously blocked Avaswap.io #150554
– The domain was registered on 12/15/2024, so this is a fairly new scam: https://who.is/whois/orchidtrade.io
