Vue 2 has reached its EOL more than a year ago (December 31st, 2023) and the ecosystem is moving forward to only support Vue 3. Vude-demi, which is the library used to provide backwards support for Vue 2 is now deprecated: vueuse/vue-demi#270

VueUse, one of the largest utility library has already dropped vue-demi and only support vue 3: https://github.com/vueuse/vueuse/releases/tag/v12.0.0

Vue's official state management library also dropped its vue3 support: https://github.com/vuejs/pinia/releases/tag/v3.0.0
