Trying to install Karabo on new Daint.Alps node fails with error message

The following packages are incompatible

We expected this issue. The change from Daint to Alps is a change from Intel to ARM CPU architecture. Thus recompiling of wheels and binaries was foreseeable.

Karabo is used by users of the Cosmology group at ETHZ. They need HPC infrastructure since they participate in the SKAO Data Challenge. I'll check if Karabo can be run on the ETHZ Euler cluster, preferably as Singularity container.
