Describe the feature and motivation

currently opencv just supports 8 videos ingestion, processing and etc. and after that which often translates in losing details and features in streams, videos and pictures, as well as lower quality play back. I would love to be able to use Opencv across al my project without losing the quality of my files.

it would be amazing to support higher amount of colors in opencv
