I tested locally (git checkout bugfix/pydantic && pip install . && python3 -m fastapi_template) and I confirm that this fixes the original error. However, I did not review the implementation.

@alessio-locatelli, yes, but it's currently work in progress. Some tests still don't pass. I will fix it once back from vacation.
