Hi

I am trying to run the tests, and getting the following errors messages:

For anyone having a similar issue:

Ensure you have pytest installed (pip install pytest)
Ensure you have TensorLy installed.
From outside the tensorly folder, run pytest --pyargs tensorly

If you have installed TensorLy from source you can also go to the root directory and run make test (or pytest -v tensorly)

Hi Manal,

What version of TensorLy are you using? Are you running the tests from the root folder?
Can you try using the Makefile and run make test?

No, should be run as as is. Where are you running the command from? You should be outside the package, if you are running in tensorly/tensorly the .random subpackage would cause issues.

As a side note, if you need to access the source-code or modify it I'd advised cloning the repository and installing from source.

I went outside the venv, things look better, but not yet:

This looks like TensorLy is not installed. You should have the environment in which you installed TensorLy active and run the test in any other folder (not inside the folder where TensorLy was installed).

I am sorry, all I needed is to pip install pytest
