How to Join

Bystander Intervention

The University of Tennessee’s Bystander Intervention program is designed to educate and empower students and staff to take proactive steps in preventing harmful situations or behaviors, including bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct, and other dangerous situations. This program provides essential training on how to recognize signs of potential harm and equips individuals with the tools and confidence to safely intervene. By teaching practical, actionable strategies, the program encourages the UT community to step in and make a positive impact, fostering a safer and more supportive campus environment. Participants learn not only how to prevent incidents but also how to build a culture of responsibility and care that uplifts everyone.
