Tony Heinz receives national award from the American Chemical Society

Tony Heinz, a professor in the Department of Applied Physics, has been awarded the American Chemical Society’s 2025 Ahmed Zewail Award in Ultrafast Science and Technology. The award  is given to those in the areas of physics, chemistry, biology, or other related fields who have made outstanding contributions to fundamental discoveries or inventions regarding ultrafast science and technology. Heinz is also a professor of photo science at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.
