After earning his bachelor’s in International Studies and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, having an interest in international education, David transitioned to a teaching position in Japan. Based in a research school and specializing in the development of English language curricula for elementary and junior high school, he experienced life and culture whilst traveling Southeast Asia including frequent visits to South Korea, Malaysia, and The Philippines among other countries. After Japan, David lived and worked in Australia before returning to the USA to continue his career in international education. Prior to moving to the University of Kentucky, David worked in faculty-directed education at Western Kentucky University for The Cooperative Center for Study Abroad (CCSA) with the opportunity to direct programs in The United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. When not traveling, David can be found reading, enhancing his skills as a web developer, and making dubious attempts at international cuisine.
