WOMEN'S BASKETBALL SET FOR TITLE REMATCH VERSUS MARSHALL

• James Madison returns to Harrisonburg to host Marshall on Thursday, Jan. 9. Tip time inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+.
• Last time out, Peyton McDaniel recorded 23 points, while James Madison shot an efficient 31-of-64 (.484) from the field to overpower Texas State, 81-60, on Saturday afternoon inside Strahan Arena.
• Kseniia Kozlova finished second in scoring for the Dukes with 14 points to go along with six rebounds. Ro Scott added 12 points to eclipse 1,500 in her career and notched a pair of steals. Bree Robinson chipped in with nine points, and posted career highs in assists (6) and boards (5). Ashanti Barnes pulled down a team-best eight rebounds and produced six points in the win.
• The Dukes own three top-40 marks nationally: defensive rebounds per game (20th - 29.2), rebounds per game (T-32nd - 42.0) and three-point percentage defense (36th - 26.2).
• Individually, McDaniel is second in the Sun Belt in rebounding (8.3 rpg) and third in scoring (14.4 ppg).
• Marshall is coming off an 80-69 road loss at Troy on Saturday, with the Trojans outscoring the Herd 50-34 in the second half.
• Aislynn Hayes leads the conference in scoring, while Meredith Maier has knocked down 42-of-122 (.344) from long range.
• The Herd owns a pair of top-15 marks nationally: three-point attempts per game (4th - 30.8) and three-pointers made per game (11th -9.9).

THE DUKES VS. THE SUN BELT

• James Madison holds an 83-68 (.550) record against current Sun Belt Conference foes and is 34-11 (.756) since joining the conference in 2022.
• The Dukes have encountered Old Dominion more than any other SBC opponent, trailing 53-30 in the all-time series. Additionally, ODU is the only team in the league with a winning record against JMU.
• JMU has never lost to Louisiana (5-0), Southern Miss (3-0), Texas State (3-0), Arkansas State (2-0), South Alabama (2-0), or ULM (1-0).

• James Madison came in at No. 12 in the CollegeInsider.Com Mid-Major Top 25 poll on Dec. 31. The highest ranking for Head Coach Sean O'Regan's program in the 2024-25 season was 10th on Dec. 24.
• The Dukes are 48th in the latest NCAA Net Rankings through Jan. 2 games. James Madison's highest ranking since joining the Sun Belt Conference was 46th after games on Jan. 5, 2024. JMU is also the highest ranked team in the league, followed by Coastal Carolina (102nd) and Old Dominion (106th).
