They must ensure that each component is of the highest quality and fit for its intended purpose. Similarly, both cooking and software testing require proper planning. Just as a chef plans their activities to ensure all preparations are completed precisely when needed, a tester must strategically organize their tasks to align with the project timeline. Whether it’s ensuring all the components of a dish are ready to be served or getting the software ready for release into production, proper planning is crucial.

Very interesting talk and Q&A by Lovelesh Beeharry at #TestWarez2024 on self healing automated tests with #Healenium! I heard about it before, but it is interesting to learn how to apply it in your projects and what the pitfalls are. Main message I got is that you best classify your tests according to importance (P1: critical, P2: important, P3: less important) and you update the locators of P1 tests with the healed ones. But you can save time by letting the P2 and P3 tests heal run-time. That gives your extra time to create new tests.

A note to younger me... You know that architecture template that you thought was too bloated and not for you? You'll write a course on that architecture decision and how to get started with it with less bloat. You'll include a section that teaches people how to create a barebones solution for that architecture using PowerShell or Bash. You also will include a section on that template and why it has as much as it does in it. You'll talk about the technical decisions included in the template. You'll also have a section where you talk about going from Clean Architecture towards Vertical Slice Architecture, just to show how very different they are. You'll do all this. That's what this course is! And you know what? You'll come of out that course feeling much better about that template. (And yes, it was too bloated for your needs then. And that's completely acceptable.)
