Congratulations to this year's National Student Advertising Competition team on yet another district win! The team consists of Kennedi Beam, Cailey Bingham, Madeline Davis, Megan Fezza, Ashely Fisher, Ben Johnson, Francesca Louise, Maya Malawi, Jenna Rampenthal, Madison Rennie, Emme Schumacher, Lauren Shaffer and Anjana Vedapuri and is led by ISC associate professors Adriane Grumbein and Alyssa Eckman.

Meet our May alumni spotlight, Cheyenne Hohman. Hohman is a 2011 graduate of the master's in library science program and was one of the first Alternative Spring Break program participants. She currently works as the publications resource curator for the Kentucky Geological Survey at the University of Kentucky. Click here to read more about Cheyenne.

W. Lawrence Patrick (MAS/TEL, 1972) was presented with UK’s highest honor, the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters during CI’s May 2023 Commencement Ceremonies. He was recognized for his monumental accomplishments in spearheading the developments of the radio and television industry in the United States and beyond during times of rapid change and volatile transformation. Besides his impeccable professional achievement, Patrick’s contribution to the academic community and educational mission of broadcasting has been equally impressive.
