Baker-Polito administration’s Commission on Clean Heat issues final report
In a report published last week, the Massachusetts Commission on Clean Heat charts a path to reduce emissions from heating fuels used in buildings in the Commonwealth. MITEI’s Dharik Mallapragada was a member of the commission that produced this report, which was based on deliberations with 19 other commissioners from different backgrounds over a 12-month period.

The Earthshot prize
Applications due: Tuesday, December 13 by 11:59pm
The Earthshot Prize is designed to incentivize change and help to repair our planet over the next ten years. Five, one-million-pound prizes will be awarded each year between 2021 and 2030, providing at least 50 solutions to the world’s greatest environmental problems by 2030. MIT is an official nominator and requests submissions for solutions that are beyond the idea stage, have working prototypes or executed pilots that demonstrate the effectiveness of their solution, have been tested in-field or with a target audience, and may already be in the market with “customers” or audiences but to a limited scale. If you have questions regarding this opportunity, please contact Research Development.
