Sara Mason joined the Ecosystem Services Program at the Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability after graduating from Duke with a master’s degree in environmental management. Her work centers on the interdisciplinary nature of natural resource management, with projects focusing on incorporating ecosystem services into natural resource management decisions, nature-based solutions policy and finance, environmental markets, climate resilience policy, and sustainable infrastructure. Mason is the coordinator of the National Ecosystem Services Partnership, an information and knowledge exchange hub for policy work and research on ecosystem services and nature-based solutions.
