Happy Mother’s Day from here in the UK ❤️ . I’m busy relaxing and being spoiled by my lovely family, feeling very lucky 🥰 - so here’s a re-run of a double exposure cyanotype I made towards the end of last year. It also shows me printing a transparent layer of colour over the finished cyanotype, to give a “sunset” effect in the sky. . I only made one of these, which sold - but I do have some lovely “Sunset Murmuration” giclee prints available on my website in 2 sizes, either framed or unframed...

Nena🪴Plantas & Inspiración on Instagram: "La Antotipia es una técnica fotográfica que crea imágenes utilizando la cualidad fotosensible de algunos pigmentos vegetales. Ser fotosensible significa que cuando se exponen al sol se degradan y cambian de color. El primer paso para crear antotipias es hacer la emulsión fotosensible con la Cúrcuma, en este caso. -Mezclamos la cúrcuma y el alcohol, lo agitamos bien y lo colamos. -Extendemos la emulsión sobre un papel o la tela. -Dejamos secar en una ubicación oscura. -Una vez esté seco podemos colocar las plantas o lo que queramos “fotografiar” sobre el lienzo. -Exponemos al sol durante 2-4 horas, dependiendo de la intensidad, y aplicamos suavemente con un spray agua tibia con bicarbonato. -Lo dejamos secar y listo. ¿Qué os parece el resultado?
