Gregg Whitis begins his second season on the Aggie bench during the 2022 season.
With Whitis' help, the Aggies claimed the West Division WAC Regular Season title in the Fall of 2021. Whitis also played a part in instructing three First Team All-WAC honorees in Katie Birtcil, Lia Mosher and Shaney Lipscomb.
Whitis last coached at Arizona where he spent seven seasons from 2013-2020. During his seven-year stint in Tucson, the Wildcats won 132 matches and qualified for the NCAA Tournament six times including a run to the Sweet 16 in 2016.

Before his tenure at Arizona, Whitis served as an assistant at Tennessee where he signed a top-10 recruiting class in 2011. The graduate of Olivet Nazarene University also helped lead the Vols to their first-ever outright SEC Championship in 2011.

Prior to his time in Knoxville, Whitis was an assistant at Michigan as the Wolverines made back-to-back NCAA Tournament Appearances with a Sweet 16 run in 2007. Michigan finished the 2007 season ranked 9th by the AVCA, the highest ranking in program history.

Whitis also coached on the Clemson bench from 2003-2006 and helped the Tigers to an NCAA Tournament appearance. Whitis has spent time at SMU, Northern Michigan, South Carolina, Kankakee Community college and Indiana State University as well

During his coaching career, Whitis has signed multiple top-10 classes as well as signing multiple All-Americans for Power 5 universities.
