Save for later!🤯 - NO SANDING REQUIRED - Clean the surface to be covered with a wet paper towel or Krud Kutter if really greasy. - Apply two coats of liquid wood n primer in long even strokes waiting two hours in between coats. - Apply a light coat of the wood n stain covering the surface. Barn wood Color. Finish with long even strokes. Work in sections of your furniture. - Use a paint brush to brush long even strokes lightly. Finish with a whisk broom brush in the same pattern. This creates the streaked pattern. - After 48 hours, apply two coats of matte sealer. That is the path of least resistance. It’s a “detail” opportunity missed. (@manifoldinteriordesign taught me that.) And, really, that only works best for moody color-drenched rooms. OUR EXACT PAINT DETAILS: _________________________ 1.) Our cabinetry paint is 100% Accessible Beige by Sherwin Williams, and they are satin sheen. 2.) To ensure the walls and ceiling would go PERFECTLY with the cabinets, we had the painters do Accessible Beige… but cut down to 25% of the normal color strength. (*So, the same Accessible Beige color, but 75% lighter than the normal color from the can.) Cutting the paint color to a lesser saturation strength wasn’t new to us. We did it in our previous home. We did eggshell sheen. 3.). The baseboards, window trim, and pencil trim are Accessible Beige AGAIN, but reduced the color strength to 50% of the normal color in the can. Also Satin sheen. This gives a hint of darker contrast from the walls, and looks amazing.
