I first became aware of my tight hamstrings when I was diagnosed with "pes anserine" bursitis (knee bursitis) in 2009.  I'll be honest...I didn't stretch my hamstrings routinely 🙈  In March 2021, following my mensical tear, my hamstrings became super tight (the flashback video was ~Nov 2021), I had chronic lower back tightness, and my body felt unbalanced & asymmetric.  This simple routine helped me gain hamstring flexibility:  Warm up: Ostrich walks (x 5 reps/leg)  3 Sets of:  1️⃣ Dynamic calf raises (x 5 reps) - can progress to single leg - can progress even more to single leg holding a weight  2️⃣ Single leg Good Hamstring Stretches Increase Flexibility, Knee Bursitis, Best Hamstring Stretches, Stretches For Tight Hamstrings, Stretches To Increase Flexibility, Bursitis Knee, Hamstring Flexibility, Hip Flexor Exercises, Flexibility Routine

Jason Pak & Lauren Pak on Instagram: "The best hamstring/glute exercise that you’re not doing! 🔥  Bulgarian Single Leg Deadlift / Rear Foot Elevated Single Leg Deadlift - whatever you want to call it, just make sure this exercise becomes a regular part of your single leg rotation!  Way easier to balance than the single leg deadlift, while still providing all of the glute, hamstring, and stability benefits!  Plus you’re able to load it up heavier and be more mindful of your form because you’re not so focused on not falling over.  The traditional single leg deadlift is still important to do, but the rear foot elevated version is really underrated.  Do 4 sets of 8-10 at a weight that feels like a 7 RPE. Place it after heavier squats or deadlifts and reap the benefits! . . . The hamstrings are one of the most common areas that runners struggle with.

Heck you could almost say all athletes struggle with their hamstrings.

But it doesn’t have to be this way…

Simply training your hamstrings in multiple different positions will help fix most issues that athletes have.

All these exercises activate and strengthen the hamstrings in positions that you would typically find yourself in while running and performing other powerful movements like sprints, bounds, jumps etc……

How to Perform ⬇️

1. Eccentric Cable Curls | 3 set x 5 reps each side 
(1 sec pull : 3-4 sec eccentric)

2. Seated Tantrums | 3 sets x 8-12 sec at (Max Speed)

3. Single Leg RDL | 3 sets x 4-5 reps each side
