After playing her final collegiate season with the Rebels in 2023, Savana Sikes joined the Ole Miss softball staff as a director of operations for the 2024 season. In her role, Sikes is responsible for the day-to-day office operations of the softball program. Her duties include assisting with the Rebels’ camps throughout the year, team travel and equipment operations.
Despite only playing one season in an Ole Miss uniform, Sikes made a large impact on the program. She started all but one game at third base, helping lead Ole Miss to its seventh straight NCAA Tournament appearance. The Douglasville, Georgia, native posted one of the best offensive seasons of her career, ranking sixth on the team with a .284 batting average and tied for the team lead with 48 hits. She also led the team with 13 doubles, tied for the fifth-most in a single season in program history, and scored the second most runs on the team, crossing the plate 37 times. In the field, Sikes assisted the Rebel defense in turning an SEC-leading 26 double plays. She was ranked fourth nationally among infielders by D1Softball in defensive runs saved during her final season while registering a .962 fielding percentage with only seven errors in 185 chances.
Prior to her time in Oxford, she was a four-year starter at Georgia, appearing in 195 games across both the infield and outfield. Sikes recorded a .285 average with 45 hits, including a team-best 12 doubles, and 33 runs scored as a senior. In 2021, she helped Georgia advance to the Women's College World Series. As a freshman, she started all 61 games, driving in 49 runs, the second-most RBI on the team, and scoring 30 more herself.
Sikes graduated from the University of Georgia in 2022 with degrees in business management and marketing and received graduate certificate at Ole Miss in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration in 2023. She is currently pursing another certificate this year in Intercollegiate Athletic Academic Support.
