Kaya's love of dance is at odds with Charles's desire for her to follow in his footsteps of becoming a doctor. As tensions rise between the family, Kaya finds her escape through a host of people connected to the Seggae dance movements, and she begins to finally feel in control of her own life. However, some of the people she meets are less-friendly than others, and Kaya finds herself embroiled in a world of friction and rivalry. All these tensions come to a head as Kaya falls in love with hotel waiter and former Seggae King Rigel, and lessons will have to be learnt quickly if Kaya and Rigel are to win the upcoming dance competition and be crowned the King and Queen of Seggae.
