Mother superior Helena and she hid the cash under a crucifix statue, but it's missing. Wilsberg must find it undercover and the presumed thief, starting as monastery 'retreat' guest. Real estate tycoon Arthur Hollerbach hired Alex, seeking to buy and make-over the rickety nunnery as a top-end senior home, but she finds he actually plans a luxury hotel. Shortly after Jewgeni, one of Marek's team of cheap Polish construction laborers contracted for repairs, mainly on the roof, makes a deadly fall, probably pushed, so commissioner Springer, whom Georg refuses to move in with when they age, starts a murder investigation with Overbeck, who has the hots for recently joined youngest sister Christa, just one of the nuns with secrets Wilsberg must work out, while Ekki is dying to learn all about the brilliant investment strategy and to help stabilize Georg's acutely ailing finances.
