Become a Changemaker in Hervey Bay and Bundaberg
Are you ready to lead positive change in your community? The Australian Rural Leadership Foundation has partnered with the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre to deliver a number of our Changemaker workshop across the regions.
Delivered over two days, Changemaker is your opportunity to collaborate, learn, and drive innovative solutions that address the challenges facing your community.
Who Should Join
- Businesses and Sole Traders: Local enterprises eager to contribute to community wellbeing in meaningful ways beyond financial donations.
- Not-for-Profits: Organisations seeking new approaches and collaboration to tackle local challenges.
- Young People (18-25) : Young adults looking to develop leadership skills, engage in community projects, and kickstart their careers.
- Volunteers and Retirees: Individuals already engaged in community service who want to maximise their contribution.
What You'll Learn
- How change happens and ways to overcome resistance.
- How to become a positive change agent: build new initiatives, manage setbacks, and work creatively and purposefully with others.
- Understand your local ecosystem, engage purposefully and inclusively, and lead robust, authentic conversations.
- Learn techniques to suspend judgement, build trust, and foster diverse relationships through open, transparent communication.

Cost
These workshop are fully subsidised by the Australian Government Department of Social Services and Social Shift.
Due to high demand and limited spaces, please ensure you can commit to attending the whole workshop before registering. If you're unable to attend, please notify us at least two weeks in advance so we can offer your spot to another community member. If registering for multiple participants, please include individual email addresses for each person for survey purposes.
