The artifact you are referring to is an Egyptian Carnelian
Bead Pendant from the Middle Kingdom era, specifically around
2040-1783 BCE. This pendant is carved from a fiery orange
carnelian stone, with intricate incisions on the back
representing a clypeus and pronotum.
The base of the pendant is left uninscribed and has a vertical
piercing for attachment. The scarab, as depicted in this
pendant, was a significant amulet in ancient Egyptian culture.
It symbolized the dung beetle, which the Egyptians believed
moved the sun across the sky and down into the underworld. The
scarab was also associated with the creator god Khepri, who
was believed to bring the sun from the underworld and move it
through the sky.

Ringstone of Aphrodite, dating back to the Roman Imperial
Period, around the 1st century CE.
The intaglio is carved from a stunningly clear piece of
quartzite, featuring the goddess Aphrodite as the central
figure. Aphrodite is depicted gesturing with one hand, with
two Eros at her feet, and flanked by two columns. The intaglio
was originally set in a Roman signet ring, but during
Victorian times, it was re-set in a delicate 18K gold filigree
and has now been strung on an 18K gold chain.
