There are two wonderful new additions to our family! Two of our nieces had babies recently, which means I can finally share the baby quilts I made for them. Both of the baby quilts were based on the Star Cluster block pattern by Judy Martin. Her pattern is written to make either a 12" or a 16" block, but I scaled it up to finish at 32". This is a Judy Martin pattern called Star Cluster. The only link I could find to its instruction was a direct pdf through google, so I thought it best not to provide a direct link here. This is what's on the design wall today. I have been taking part in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2013 over at Soscrappy . Every month we dig out the scraps of a specific color family and create anything you want to. I have been making these blocks at 16" finished. Only 3 months to go and it will make a hefty 48 x 64 before borders. Hmmmm. I wonder what I'll do for next years' scrap challenge? I'm already on the lookout for a new plan.
