At 100 years, The Foreman Prairie House is the earliest extant example of Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie-style architecture in Oklahoma. “The Crown Jewel of Duncan" is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and stands today, preserving a storied past that informs a new generation for the future. Built in 1918, The Foreman Prairie House is the former residence of W.T. Foreman, a founding father, banker, and pharmacist. The home provides a haven for valuable educational, historical, social, and civic experiences. School-aged children enjoy STEAM-sensitive events, learn about their own heritage, vintage life, and technology. High school and university students walk in the footsteps of our predecessors, immersed in their era of study. Life-long learners relish programs like Third Thursday Lunch and Learn. Our weekly open house tour, four annual community events, and private gatherings bring this important place to life.
