Hi Pete,
Try changing your pqact.conf entry to (with the correct tabs):
DIFAX[TAB]OR_ABI-L2-(.*).nc
[TAB]FILE[TAB]-close -edex[TAB]/awips2/data_store/GOES/abi/OR_ABI-L2-\1.nc
That should work for both the single channel (CMIP) and derived products.
