Waldenio,

I believe that your error is that you are using a non-rectanglular
grid representation in your GRIB GDS (GDS octet 6).
The number 4 that you have is a gaussian grid, which GEMPAK cannot
handle, and would require interpolation to a regularly spaced grid.
