Hi Derek,
It would help if you could pass along what "invalid results" you're seeing,
such as if there are errors not allowing the map to draw, or if the map is
drawn but the result is not what you're looking for.
If you're seeing an error about invalid bounds, you can specify a world-view
with GAREA as
GAREA = -80;-170;80;170
Which you can adjust further out to *near* the full globe in Mercator
projection:
GAREA = -89.9;-179.9;89.9;179.9
Just make sure you don't overlap the coordinated by defining boundaries at
90/-90 and 180/-180
