Re: 20030721:LDM Feed Approval Requested

Pete,

These folks are NOT a Unidata Institution.

They have asked for a feed, and what we do for non-profit (public good
type orgs) is allow them to contact nearby Unidata sites in ~hopes of
finding a "partner". We do not support these folks, all support would come
from the sponsoring institution (you) and/or from the e-mail forums.

plz see:

http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/cgi-bin/msgout?/glimpse/idd/6250

and

http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/cgi-bin/msgout?/glimpse/idd/6265

to see the thread of the discussion.

If you see a perceived value in feeding this site for your institution,
some quid pro quo that is not of monetary nature, then it is your call to
allow the feed of non-propriatary data to this site. The same use and
re-distribution caveats would apply to his site as it does to all of ours.

Please let us know if we can help you further with this decision.

Thank you,

Jeff
