[LDM #WFA-344565]: N0R radar product feed

I just checked, and there have been N0R products relayed in the IDD
today, but the only ones that I see are from the Pacific Region and
Puerto Rico.

I checked the availability of N0R products as follows:

<as 'ldm'>
notifyme -vl- -f ANY -p N0R -o 1000000 -h idd.unidata.ucar.edu

When you run this 'notifyme' invocation on your LDM machine, do
you see or not see a listing of products?

We haven't seen N0R products from radars outside of the Pacific region
and Puerto Rico today.

I have not seen any announcement about N0R product distribution
problems in NOAAPort.

Aside: I know that the NWS has been wanting to cease creation and
distribution of the N0R product for years. I have to believe that
they would announce the cessation of the product's creation to the
community before summarily dropping it.

The other thing that may or may not be relevant is: the NWS
issued a notice that it would be upgrading software today that
would affect the flow of NEXRAD Level II data. Here is
the latest notice that we received:

Date: Thu, 06 May 2021 12:02:51 -0500
Maintenance activity is complete.

Thank you.

    Sorry for any confusion.

Radar Operations Center (ROC) will be performing software updates
which will affect the data flow of the Level II Network TDS path. The
activity is a software update on the National Level II (NL2) servers
        in Silver Spring, MD.

Start Time: 9:00 AM (Central Time) Thursday May 5th, 2021
        Duration: 2 hours
Event:  Software update (Silver Spring, MD)

The activity will take about 2 hours to complete and will affect the
Data flow of the “Silver Spring, MD TDS Level II Path” for up to 30
minutes during that window.  The Data Path via Norman, OK/RDS NL2
servers is not part of this activity. (No service interruption via RDS
        path is anticipated.)

Please keep BOTH NL2 connections (Silver Spring & Norman) up to avoid
        data flow interruption.

National Level II (NL2) status information via weather.gov is
        available.

As you can see in this notice, there is no mention of N0R Level III
products.

I am not exactly sure what you mean by "flip flops between us and
Wisconsin".

What I can say is that the version of the LDM and NOAAPort ingest
code that is bundled with the LDM is the same on all of the machines
whose NOAAPort ingest output feeds into the IDD:

UW/SSEC
LSU/SRCC
UCAR/Unidata
Allisonhouse.com

No worries.

Cheers,
