Oops, this should have been:

<as 'mcidas'>
cd $MCDATA <- Note that you should CD to
~mcidas/solaris/workdata
dsinfo.k GRID RTGRIBS

This is _not_ what I get as 'mcidas' on stratus from the $MCDATA directory.
I get:

    No Datasets found of Type: IMAGE in Group: RTGRIBS
    No Datasets found of Type: POINT in Group: RTGRIBS

I am a bit suprised by how long the grdlist.k invocation takes to run. I would
have thought that the MySQL access would be much faster given how well stratus
performs with other ADDE datasets. I think I need to look into this more to
make sure that the ADDE GRIB directory server, gribgdir, is really using the
MySQL access method (it will drop back to examining every file if the MySQL
access is not viable).

Finally, I am able to use fields from the RTGRIBS dataset from my machine at
home:

<at home>
DATALOC ADD RTGRIBS stratus.al.noaa.gov

Hmm... This access was very fast. Interesting...

You can see that I have been accessing the ADDE server on stratus by running
