[McIDAS #HMV-801244]: ASCII file display in McIDAS-X

Hi again Sohail,

I just checked the UW/SSEC Data Center website to see what FY2 imagery
they have, and it appears that they have FY-2G and FY-2E imagery in their
archive:

I decided to check their site since I saw some FY2-E imagery displayed
by McIDAS in the UW/SSEC/CIMSS blog site:

It may be the case that you can get the imagery that you need/want in
McIDAS AREA format from the SSEC Data Center. This would be _MUCH_ easier
than trying to convert the HDF5 imagery you have into a format that is
usable in McIDAS.

Please remember, that as a Unidata university site, you are allowed to
download quite a bit of satellite imagery each month for free from the
SSEC Data Center. Again, the reference in how to get setup is:

Cheers,

Tom
