[McIDAS #KGV-504968]: Changes in v2018 for L2 derived products

Hi Mike,

Here is the terse comment associated with the relevant check-in of the
abincalb.inc header file from the SSEC McIDAS CVS:

"First attempt at matching the L2 products with how they are rendered in
awips-2"

I think you can read into this as much/little as I can - there was an
attempt to make McIDAS-X visualizations of GOES-R L2 products look
like they do in AWIPS. I have not looked at any of the products
in AWIPS, so I can't say if the latest renderings in McIDAS look more
or less like they do in AWIPS.

If your investigations show that reworked values (e.g., min and max)
in abincalb.inc (which is used by the ABIN calibration module) are
not following documented standards, please let me know and I will
open an inquiry with SSEC.

Cheers,

Tom
